This time last week we were getting ready for the launch of Dogfit at our first show – Dogfest, 2015 at Loseley Park, Guildford.

Not only did we have a large stand there, but we had also had the opportunity to give a canicross demonstration in the Nerf Arena and show the crowds of Surrey this exciting and fun sport.

After setting up the Dogfit stand early in the morning, our demonstration was scheduled just before the Great Dog Walk with Chanel 4 Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick.

With a team of canicross friends (including one that had just finished the Brutal 10 Enduro the night before) – the Dogfit team demonstrated the equipment involved and then ran a race cheered on by the crowds – the dogs loved it too!

Everyone had great fun taking part in the demo – including the dogs!

We introduced all the dogs and their owners to the crowd individually and gave a little background about them and how they got into canicross. We had eight canicross runners taking part and their dogs ranged from very small to very large – showing that anyone and anydog can enjoy getting out and getting fitter together.

Even the smallest dogs love Canicross.

Team Hank won the relay race cheered on by the crowds.

With lots of cheering and support from the Dogfest crowd, we split our canicross runners and their dogs into teams and the race was won by “Team Hank”.

What a great day it was and lovely to meet so many people with their dogs, talk to them about canicross and help them with kit. We even got a cheery “goodbye, see you next year” from Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick who was non-stop all day too.

Can’t wait to do it all again next year
