<h3 style="text-align: center;" data-start="398" data-end="567"><strong>DogFit – Putting the <em data-start="344" data-end="349">Can</em> into Canicross</strong></h3>
<p data-start="398" data-end="567">Ten years ago, we had a vision: to help people get fitter <em>with</em> their dogs, while making the sport of Canicross more accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.</p>
<p data-start="569" data-end="954">Back then, Canicross was still relatively unknown in the UK. We wanted to change that—not just by creating well-designed kit and training programmes, but by building a welcoming, supportive community where both people and dogs could thrive. Today, as we celebrate <strong data-start="833" data-end="865">DogFit’s 10-year anniversary</strong>, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved—and even more excited for what’s to come.</p>
<h3 data-start="961" data-end="1024"><a href="https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/category/my-story/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3835" src="//blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrossforautism-800x414.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="414" srcset="https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrossforautism-800x414.jpg 800w, https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrossforautism-768x398.jpg 768w, https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrossforautism.jpg 1000w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></h3>
<h3 style="text-align: center;" data-start="961" data-end="1024"></h3>

<p data-start="1026" data-end="1296">Since launching DogFit in 2015, we’ve proudly introduced <strong data-start="1083" data-end="1134">thousands of people and their dogs to Canicross</strong>—regardless of age, background or fitness level. Whether you’ve never run before, are getting back into exercise, or already love the trails, DogFit is for <em data-start="1290" data-end="1295">you</em>.</p>
<p data-start="1298" data-end="1663">From the outset, we made it our mission to ensure that our classes are <strong data-start="1369" data-end="1410">fun, fully supported and goal-focused</strong>. You don’t need to be a seasoned athlete to start—just a willingness to try something new with your dog. And that’s why our <a href="https://dogfit.co.uk/pages/classes"><strong data-start="1535" data-end="1563">Beginner to 5K programme</strong></a> has been such a huge success, giving people confidence, structure, and a real sense of achievement.</p>
<h3 data-start="1670" data-end="1729"></h3>

<p style="text-align: center;" data-start="1670" data-end="1729"><strong>A Voice for Rescue Dogs, Nervous Dogs &amp; Their Humans</strong></p>
<h3 data-start="1670" data-end="1729"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3837" src="//blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrosswithreactivedogs-800x400.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="400" srcset="https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrosswithreactivedogs-800x400.jpg 800w, https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrosswithreactivedogs-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Canicrosswithreactivedogs.jpg 820w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></h3>
<p data-start="1731" data-end="2058">One of the most rewarding parts of our journey has been the work we’ve done with <strong data-start="1812" data-end="1899">rescue dogs, nervous or anxious pups, and owners who may lack confidence themselves</strong>. We’ve seen first-hand how Canicross can help calm, focus, and build trust between dog and human. It gives dogs a “job,” and owners a new sense of connection.</p>
<p data-start="2060" data-end="2460">Over the years, we’ve also heard countless <a href="https://blog.dogfit.co.uk/category/my-story/">stories from members of our community who’ve used Canicross to manage <strong data-start="2173" data-end="2240">stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges</strong></a>. Sometimes that run with your dog is more than exercise—it’s therapy, connection, and joy rolled into one. If DogFit has helped people feel stronger mentally and emotionally, that’s something we will always be proud of.</p>

<p data-start="2513" data-end="2666">A huge part of DogFit’s success is down to <a href="https://dogfit.co.uk/pages/classes">our amazing community of certified <strong data-start="2581" data-end="2600">DogFit Trainers</strong></a>, who deliver high-quality, supportive sessions all across the UK, as well as overseas.</p>
<p data-start="2668" data-end="2962">Each DogFit Trainer is professionally trained and shares our core values: inclusivity, empathy, and a passion for helping people and their dogs thrive. Whether you&#8217;re a complete beginner or looking to improve your technique, you’ll find expert guidance and a friendly face ready to welcome you.</p>
<p data-start="2964" data-end="3326">Our Trainers not only deliver structured classes and programmes like our successful <strong data-start="3033" data-end="3051">Beginner to 5K</strong>, but also offer 1:1 coaching, group runs, and tailored sessions for nervous runners or dogs needing extra support. They play a vital role in nurturing local Canicross communities, creating safe, fun environments where people and dogs of all abilities can grow in confidence.</p>
<p data-start="3328" data-end="3510">We are constantly inspired by our Trainer network—their energy, their commitment, and the care they show for every runner and dog they meet. They truly embody what DogFit stands for.</p>

<p data-start="4081" data-end="4292">For us, DogFit has always been about more than kit. From day one, we’ve worked <strong data-start="4160" data-end="4218">tirelessly to educate and be ambassadors for Canicross</strong>, making it our mission to raise awareness and grow the sport responsibly.</p>
<p data-start="4294" data-end="4523">From delivering training courses and building a national network of <a href="https://dogfit.co.uk/pages/classes">certified DogFit Trainers</a>, to launching our popular <strong data-start="4406" data-end="4417"><a href="https://www.talkcanicross.com">podcast &#8216;Talk Canicross&#8217;</a>,</strong> publishing resources, and sponsoring running events across the UK we’ve championed Canicross every step of the way.</p>

Whether it’s a weekend class, a muddy mid-week trail run, or a Canicross event, we’ve seen amazing friendships form between dogs and people alike.</p>
<p data-start="4995" data-end="5263">We’ve always believed that fitness is more fun together. And it’s been a joy to see <a href="https://dogfit.co.uk/pages/our-ambassadors">our growing network of DogFit Trainers delivering sessions all over the UK </a>from group meet-ups to 1:1 coaching, Beginner-to-5K programmes to confidence-building sessions for first-timers.</p>

<p data-start="5306" data-end="5570">Looking back over the last 10 years, we’re incredibly grateful.
